High Light

A high light means sections of hair that are lighter than the base color. Strategically placed high lights add dimension, depth and texture to the hair. From subtle caramel pieces on a brunette, to a cool multi-dimensional ashy blond, this technique can lighten the overall hair color or attract attention to a certain part of the hairstyle and enhance the overall look.

Face framing high lights mimic a sun kissed look. In a partial high light, only the top and sides of the head are highlighted. A full high light is used to achieve an allover lighter appearance, mostly used for blondes.
