Sequoya Yeagle

Sequoya knew her path involved hair styling at a young age when she began braiding everyone’s hair in her family! Graduating from Jean Madeline in 2008, she apprenticed under a master stylist before getting behind the chair. Shortly after, she decided she wanted a change of pace, and was off to the Rocky Mountains. There, she learned a great deal about natural beauty, and her desires transformed into creating natural, wearable hair. Her passion has developed not only with her love of doing color, but also with dry cutting, which has become a new element of her growing love for this industry. From bridal styling to extensions to soft color or bold, bright tones, she continues to research, learn and play through the art of hair.

Graduating from Jean Madeline in 2011, Allison had an idea of where she wanted her career to excel. She apprenticed top stylists Alexey Kats, Artur Kirsh and Tonia Day at Studio CL. She later joined Tease Salon as a stylist, gaining experience in color and editorial work. She has continued her education with companies such as L’Oréal, Redken, and Davines. Reaching a peak in her career, she decided to branch out, becoming a part of the Architeqt team by finishing her apprenticeship in dry cutting. She has a trained eye for color, whether she’s creating dimensional blondes and brunettes or customizing Balayage for each individual.

I’ve been a stylist since 2013 and a member of the Architeqt team for almost 9 years where I have developed a deep passion for enhancing the natural tones within hair and creating shapes in various textures. My inspiration stems from the pure love I have for this craft, which began at an early age when I learned to braid hair. Having the opportunity to teach future generations the ins and outs of this craft keeps me motivated and inspired.

When I’m not in the salon, I love to recharge by spending quality time with my family and my two favorite fur babies, Buddha and Honcho. It’s important for me to take time to unwind and refocus so that I can continue to bring my best to my clients.

Alba Karabina

Alba discovered her passion for hair at a young age, but knowing how difficult it was to pursue a career in styling in her native country of Albania, she began a career in graphic design. As a graphic designer, her eye was trained to see shape and color in a new way and she uses these skills behind the chair every day to give each guest a look specifically tailored to them. In 2015, Alba graduated from Jean Madeline Aveda Institute. Shortly after, she joined the team at Architeqt Salon and began apprenticing under founder Alexey Kats. Since then, she has excelled in her career; she takes as many furthering education classes as she can and in 2019 she became a color educator for Goldwell. Alba loves everything about hair and thrives when she gets to do a full look-cut and color from start to finish. She particularly loves textured bobs and beautiful lived in color.

Devon initially moved to Philadelphia to pursue a career as a Physicians Assistant after obtaining a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Pittsburgh. However, after working in a hospital she realized that wasn’t what she wanted to do with her life. Instead, she turned to something else she had been passionate about for many years: hair.

Devon started as a hair stylist in the Mainline after graduating from Jean Madeline Aveda Institute. She then found her home at Architeqt, where she went to learn dry-cutting and natural, lived-in color.

She loves making people feel confident through her work, and is glad that her unconventional path brought her to Architeqt.

I’ve been a hair stylist since 2018. I’m proud to say that I’ve been at Architeqt salon for almost 6 years and I couldn’t be happier to be part of such a talented team.

One of the things I love most about being a stylist is the opportunity to create big transformations for my clients that are easy to maintain. I enjoy creating looks that are both chic and effortless while always on the lookout for new techniques and trends to bring to my work.

When I’m not behind the chair, you can find me exploring the city’s vibrant restaurant scene with friends. I’ve lived in Philly for over 25 years now, and I’m always discovering new hidden gems and local hotspots that I can’t wait to share with others.

I’m also a bit of a jack-of-all-trades when it comes to creative endeavors. I like to think I was born with the “how hard can it be” gene, and I’m always experimuenting with new recipes in the kitchen, tackling DIY projects around my home, and exploring everything in between.

I have been at Architeqt since 2016, where I’ve learned and honed skills in dry-cutting and coloring from an amazing team. What I love about being a hairstylist is connecting with my clients and being able to curate styles that are complimentary to their lifestyle. I like to do effortless, lived-in, timeless hair. I definitely draw inspiration from the seasons and mixed media. I feel that it all connects to the current trends that are ever-changing which I find really exciting.

To recharge I love to cuddle and be with my amazing 2 kiddos, going to the gym or spending time with family and friends. I’d love to travel more someday. History, art, food, and culture is definitely a passion that I can absolutely never get tired of learning and experiencing.
